Toronto – Because of the Toronto visit of Holiness Dalai Lama, Weizhen Tang, 52, the most prominent Chinese Canadian Mayoral candidate in history is suspending his Mayoral campaign for two days, October 22 and October 23, 2010. And inviting Holiness Dalai Lama to speak together, during the Dalai Lama’s Toronto visit, about how to assist friendship, harmony between the peoples of Toronto,Canada, China, Tibet and the world.
“It is Buddhist fate that the Dalai Lama is in Toronto, leading up to the Toronto election. The Dalai Lama’s personal and religious message is truly a good one: universal values such as compassion, forgiveness, tolerance, respect, dignity amongst all peoples. But, sadly, the Dalai Lama and his messages are being used by others for political reasons, to create anti-China government feeling. But sadly, this anti-China government feeling can easily become anti-Chinese feelings. And this would be very sad and wrong.”
Before his recent fraud charges, Weizhen Tang, moved with other community leaders, to organize one of the world’s largest China friendship rallies on April 13, 2008, to promote understanding and friendship between the peoples of Canada, China and the world.
“Our April 13, 2008, rally, on the steps of Parliament became one of the largest such world friendship rallies in the world,” notes Tang with a his enigmatic smile. “Like the great goodness Ottawa Beijing Olympics 2008 rally, my goals with the Dalai Lama are of friendship, global harmony. I have strong ties and respect in China, and with Chinese people around the world.
“I want to invite the Holiness Dalai Lama, to speak together; to speak in detail how we can all truly do peace and understanding between the peoples of Toronto, Canada, China, Tibet, and the world.”
